An early Leonard Bailey patent cast iron spokeshave, presented in clean used condition.

Complete with the No. 1 type distinctive hook eye thumbscrew.

The handle backs are marked, although not very clear, the left side can just make out BAILEY PATENT. 

The right side is less clear, however the date can be seen as Aug 1858, possibly 31.

The cutter is a Stanley Rule & Measure Co.
