Vintage Stanley Bailey USA No 6 Plane Sweetheart Iron

Circa early century

A vintage Stanley Bailey USA No 6 fore plane presented in clean used condition.

Has been one of my own users for many years, only change I’ve made is it has a later English lever cap as the original has damage, but will be supplied as well.

Complete with an original Sweetheart iron with a good length remaining.

Has a small nick to side & age related marks commensurate to its considerable age.

Believed to be a type 15, possibly little earlier, the one Pat date and keyhole cap suggest it’s no later than type 15, however the various studies are a little vague on the larger planes so please do your own research.

Although not used for a while, just dusted it off and light touch up it is performing well, remains lovely to use.

Overall a very good user in unrestored clean condition, making easy shavings across the width on pine board as shown.

Slightly sorry to let this one go, however have way to many, this one just does get used much now.
